Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor, best known for playing in the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. Since his time in college, Christopher Meloni has been attracted to the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on both television and films it is his characters in the smaller screen which brought him fame and a large fan following. He is able to play two characters, one from the perspective of the police and the different. That's what has made him so popular. His first project was a TV serial however, he was later an officer for the NYPD. Numerous times, he was nominated for both the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. One of his most distinctive facial features is said to be his piercing blue eyes which have been instrumental in his portrayal of characters that appear rough and fascinating. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
