Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his character on the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in college Christopher Meloni has always been attracted to the world of acting. He went to study acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He was also active on TV and film but his performances on the small screen were what earned him fame. He has the ability to portray two characters, one from the perspective of the police as well as the different. This is what has made him so popular. His initial project was a television show, however, he was later an officer for the NYPD. He was repeatedly nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. One of his most distinctive facial traits is believed to have been the piercing blue eyes that have been instrumental in his portrayal of characters that have a rough, charismatic look. The People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured his face.
