Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza (born June 26, 1984) is a stand-up actor and comedian, and is known for exuding her humor in a funny manner. She stars as April Ludgate on Parks and Recreation. The show's debut was the Jeannie Tate Show the web series after performing sketch comedy and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. Then, later in her career she starred as a character in Judd Apatow Funny People as well as Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Let's celebrate her birthday today. Aubrey Christina Plaza, daughter of Bernadette Plaza (an attorney) and David Plaza (a financial specialist), was born on Wilmington Delaware. Her mother is Irish and English, while her father hails from Puerto Rico. Plaza received a degree at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and a Catholic, all-girls college in 2006 after graduating in 2002. In her senior year of high school, she was president of the Student Council at the Catholic school for all girls and was a part of Wilmington Drama League performances. Plaza she was still in her second year of her university career in that year, was suffering from an aphasia-like expressive disorder and was paralyzed. Today, she's completely healed. Plaza began performing comedy and sketch at the New York City's Upright Citizens Brigade Theater back in 2004. Also in NYC, she's been performing stand-up comedy on stage at The Improv and The Laugh Factory. Plaza appeared in E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street and The Jeannie Tate Show as Robin Gibney as well as the first episode of Terrible Decisions with Ben Schwartz. In CollegeHumor Troopers, she played the satirical sci-fi character the Princess. in 2014, Plaza was the first to debut a saxophone on Cassorla's Bona Fide. She first appeared in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings in 2012. In 2016 Plaza appeared on HarmonQuest as Hawaiian Coffee a gnome. In the same year, she played Aaron Burr In Drunk History as well as Cat Adams in Season 11 of the C.B.S. The television show Criminal Minds. The actress made an impressive return to the role in the 12th season of Criminal Minds. A year later it was confirmed that Plaza was to appear on the indie comedy An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
